Description
The EAX-2500 is designed to be wall mounted in a double gang electrical box. It is normally powered by a 9v battery.
Optionally, you may hardwire the unit to the building's power using this transformer. Saves you the trouble of replacing the battery in a recessed unit.
When the transformer is used, the 9v battery is still used as well. Should the power in the building fail the battery provides backup power.
