Standard models take latches with 1/2'' throw, which is the most common. Models with ''-75'' are adapted to accept 3/4'' throw latches, which are pretty rare. Examples of 3/4'' throw models: 712-75, 732-75.
Switches - Optional switches are available that are used to send signals to secondary devices. These switches are called LBM and LCM.
- LBM - Latchbolt Monitor - sends a signal when a latch is inside the strike
- LCM - Locking Cam Monitor - sends a signal when the keeper is closed and locked in place
These switches are most often ordered together as LBMLCM. The switches are installed at the factory and cannot be added to a standard strike in the field.
A strike with these switches installed will have 6 wires. 2 wires operate the electric strike and then there are 2 additional wires per switch. A typical installation would have the 2 strike wires running to the power supply and the 4 switch wires running to a remote monitoring station.
| Folger Adam Strike Notes
A standard electric strike ships as a strike only, no extra switches (LBMLCM). But these switches may be added to the strike at the time of your order. We stock most models in both versions. Switches cannot be added in the field after the fact. So make sure you find out if you need switches you order. |
